We Took the Play Together Pledge, Will You?

On Saturday, November 12th, the gals from the marketing team decided to take the Play Together Pledge to another level. We’d been planning for a month to participate in the Winter Pineapple Classic in North Bend, Washington, because we thought what better way to encourage people to take the pledge than by actually doing it ourselves!

Discovery Bay’s cool factor has risen quite a bit since the launch of our Atari Arcade—so much that the folks here totally wanted to spread the cool around Seattle. Whether charity walks or runs, events for animals, volunteer opportunities, or fundraisers, you better believe that Discovery Bay is there in some way, shape, or form. 

Some say that the proof is in the pictures. I don’t really believe this, but we are a pretty photogenic group, so I compiled a few pictures from the events we’ve participated in over the last six months.

It’s finally warming up here in Seattle and folks have their sunglasses, and life jackets or hiking boots ready for a kayak tour through Lake Washington, or a pleasant hike through pick-a-mountain-any-mountain-Washington. At Discovery Bay we count down the days till we can get outside and get our adventure on.

To celebrate Memorial Day, the Discovery Bay hiking team challenged themselves with an adventure up Tiger Mountain Cable Line. With a 2,000 ft. elevation gain in 2.3 miles, the Cable Line trail is by far the steepest and most challenging of the Tiger Mountain trails.
