Discovery Bay Games was already a leading creator of multi-player games when it began developing for the yet unreleased iPad in early 2010.  The Company launched DUO  the world's first iPad game accessory in December 2010 to critical acclaim.  The New York Times wrote that DUO is "capitalizing on iPad's abilities with an entirely new type of peripheral."   The Wall Street Journal noted that DUO is "a fun way to add technology into family game night."  Wired.com wrote that DUO "show the potential for data and physical toys to blend together into a unique interactive experience" and, in a second review, that it "encouraged face-to-face interaction."
