Craig Olson
CEO
Craig Olson joined the company in December, 2005. Mr. Olson began his business career in the investment banking industry, initially at Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he became among the youngest shareholders of the then highly profitable private company. He later joined Bateman Eichler Hill Richards, where, as with at Drexel, he held the title of First Vice President. Determined to become an entrepreneur, he left to co-found NFL Exclusive, The Official Magazine of NFL Season Ticket Holders, and later, College Exclusive. Both publications boasted circulation of well in excess of 400,000. College Exclusive eventually became part of Rivals.com, a company Mr. Olson co-founded in 1999 and for which he served as Vice President, Content and Licensing. Rivals continues to be a leading Internet site for college athletics. Mr. Olson assisted with the founding of numerous other technology and Internet related concerns. He has also written a work of history entitled, Hitler’s Pianist, Roosevelt’s Spy: A Biography of Ernst “Putzi” Hanfstaengl, due out in 2007. He holds a BA from University of Washington and an MA from Harvard University.
Mrs. Pam Dionne
President and Head of Research and Development
Pam Dionne, former educator, artist, poet, author, pilot, and entrepreneur, is the inventor of Baffle Gab™. Together with her husband, Medifor co-founder Dr. Ron Dionne, Mrs. Dionne moved to the seaside town of Port Townsend, Washington, in 1999 where she began a poetry residence and founded Literary Salt, an online literature journal. Dionne carefully play tested the beta version of Discovery Bay Games, winning nine industry awards in the process, primarily from parent and educational organizations. Her creative genius is surpassed only by the limitless applications possible with the Discovery Bay Games brand.
Darcy Morris
Vice President of Sales
Darcy Morris joined the team in September 2007 from a successful career in the game and entertainment industry. Her role is to drive retail and marketing strategies and oversee efforts for channel launches, including the development and execution of retail and marketing promotions. Mrs. Morris’ industry accomplishments include but are not limited to the following: launching a new game category within the retail space in 2002, and growing the category to a 70% market share by 2007, creating new channels of distribution for games by working with non-traditional retail accounts such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, and Urban Outfitters (Screenlife’s Scene It? The DVD Game™). Mrs. Morris also worked with Saban Entertainment and Sony Pictures Consumer Products to drive retail promotional opportunities to increase royalty revenues for all television and theatrical licensed brands within the studios.
Mr. Richard Schmidtke
CFO
Rich Schmidtke joined Discovery Bay Games in April 2006 and serves as a contract CFO, while remaining a partner in Schmidtke Bacon LLP. His main role is the oversight of all financial operations, as well as cash flow, operations, and revenue projections. He also helped organize the inventory and fulfillment tracking system. Schmidtke has been practicing public accounting for nearly 25 years, and his client list includes corporate entities of all kinds as well as wealthy individuals.
Mr. Robert Butterworth
CTO
Bob Butterworth joined Discovery Bay Games in May 2006 as the contract CTO, and remains a partner in Zenwerks, a firm he founded in 2000. His main role within the Company is the development and management of the Company’s web site and web based applications. Zenwerks is a turnkey web development firm, specializing in start to finish application development including new media, motion graphics, ongoing web marketing management and utilities management. Mr. Butterworth has utilized his innovative management approach with such clients as Microsoft, Nissan, Toyota, Urban Outfitters, Nike, Mozilla and the Emit Legal Network. Mr. Butterworth is also a senior board member of both Asis Chem, a discovery chemistry contract research organization and Students Go The Distance, a Seattle based organization focusing on at-risk youth. Mr. Butterworth holds a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
